Update on COVID-19 and the Summer Semester 2021
May 1st, 2021
Aerie Backcountry Medicine is planning on running the Summer Semester in 2021 with a full residential course offering. We will continue to monitor developments surrounding COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) as it pertains to the Summer Semester in Wilderness Medicine.
Aerie will be tracking travel guidelines from the CDC and working with our Medical Director, Dr. Greg Moore, to manage risk to our students and staff. For the Summer Semester program Aerie allows for a refunded deposit if students choose to not attend the course due to COVID concerns.
Students have the following options if they choose not to participate in the 2021 Summer Semester:
- Transfer registration to a 2022 Semester in Wilderness Medicine Program.
- Students can enroll in a shortened program during which they could earn a W-EMT and Red Card for a discounted price.
- Students can be refunded their deposit.
