Course Details:
Wilderness
EMTs take foundational EMT skills into austere locations, with
hazardous environments and limited resources. Wilderness EMTs are taught
to adapt to these challenges with numerous extensive, realistic
scenarios and case studies. Click here for
more information. Upon successful completion of course requirements,
students are eligible for the National Registry EMT and the State of
Montana EMT certifications. This WEMT is offered for 3 University of
Montana credits, ECP 331, for an additional fee ($155), paid directly to
the University of Montana.
SCHEDULE: Class
will be held from 8am-6pm each weekday. Although class is not held over
the weekend, students may be assigned clinical observation time at a
local hospital. A weekend days or nights will be used to complete
clinical time. These will be scheduled shortly before the course
begins.
Note: Class will be held on Monday, July 4th.
COST: $2,850. Includes all course materials and fees for the practical exam. Room and board are not included or provided. A deposit of $1000 is due at the time of registration.
Additional costs may include registration for the NREMT, immunizations and testing.

You
can use alternate sources of funding such as AmeriCorps or G.I. BillĀ®
and we do offer payment plans. Room and board are not provided or
included in the course cost.
PREREQUISITES: This
course can be intense and does require some preparation before the
first day. Students must have no prior felony's and be 18 years of age
or older; younger students may take the class with approval but must be
18 within two years of course completion to take the National Registry
Exam. Must submit 2- negative TB tests, vaccination records (contact the
Aerie office for a list), and a self query by May 12th, 2023. If you
can't meet this deadline please contact the Aerie office to make other
arrangements. You may turn it these documents through mail, fax or
email. We are unable to accept picture of medical records due to
formatting issues (this includes having a JPEG and exporting it as a
PDF), it challenges its validity. You will be asked to resubmit and this
delay may cause you to miss the submission deadline.

be new, used, PDF or rented and the accompanying workbook is up to you
