Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) are the foundation of pre-hospital medical care in the United States. EMTs gain access to and assess patients, control bleeds, stabilize fractures, administer some medications, package patients and deliver them to higher levels of care. Aerie's EMT courses prepare our students for this field with in-depth, interactive lectures and realistic, challenging scenarios. The EMT course is offered for 3 University of Montana credits, ECP 130, for an additional fee ($155), paid directly to the University of Montana.
COST: $1750- room and board is available for an additional $1000. Tuition includes all course materials and fee's for the practical exam. Students are required to purchase the EMT textbook and other additional fees may include registration for the NREMT, immunizations and testing.

Note: We highly discourage students from using previous versions of this textbook as curriculum points are outdated.
PREREQUISITES: This course can be intense and does require some
preparation before the first day. Students must have no prior felony's
and be 18 years of age or older; younger students may take the class
with approval but must be 18 within two years of course completion to
take the National Registry Exam. Must submit 2- negative TB tests,
vaccination records (contact the Aerie office for a list), and a self
query by Monday June 3rd, 2019. If you can't meet this deadline please contact the Aerie office to make other arrangements.
SCHEDULE: Class will be held from 8am-6pm each week day. Although class is not held over the weekend, students may be assigned clinical observation time at a local hospital. Class will be held on Independence Day; Thursday, July 4th. Each class session will be from 8:00am - 6:00pm. A weekend days or nights will be used to complete clinical time. These will be scheduled shortly before the course begins. Your EMT practical exam will be held on Saturday, July 20th.
